Saturday 6 May, 10am - 3pm
In celebration of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and the Queen Consort, the Chantry Centre will be running free royal-themed stories and crafts.
Come along to the indoor garden area, next to Boswell’s, on Saturday 6th May and be entertained by Amanda from Merry-go-Round Storytelling with her usual high energy, as she reads The Kings Runaway Crown, a new book by Rosalind Park, in an interactive storytelling session.
After listening to the tale, children will have the opportunity to make and decorate their very own paper crowns with local artist Maija Liepins, before practising their royal wave and posing for a selfie on a royal throne!
There will be four story and craft sessions taking place throughout the day at:
10am - 11am
11:15am - 12:15pm
12:45pm - 1:45pm
2pm - 3pm
There is no need to book and you will be welcome to pop along to any of the sessions.
Also on 6th May, our monthly indoor market will be popping up in the centre between 9:30am to 4pm and will feature a variety of local independent businesses from the region - find out more about this month's traders on our blog.
