Salary: £27,307 - £29,746 per annum (Grade 6)

The Chantry Centre has an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in delivering excellent customer service whilst supporting the effective day to day operation of the Centre.
The team
Our Chantry Centre team are part of our Property and Asset Management Service, who look after all the Council’s premises. We are made up of professional, friendly, and supportive colleagues, with a mix of new starters to some who have been here for years!
As well as working within the Centre, you’ll interact a lot with colleagues across the Service and customers, tenants, and contractors within the Centre.
What you’ll be doing
Your work will involve:

Being the onsite point of contact for the Chantry Centre; communicating effectively with customers, contractors, and tenants. Resolving queries and taking forward further actions required

Working within a team of Duty Managers to support the Chantry Centre Operations Manager in the efficient day to day operation of The Chantry Centre, including supervising a team of Facilities Assistants.

Producing daily work rotas and monitoring compliance checks.

Ensuring the correct documentation is in place for contractors to undertake work.
What we are looking for:
You will need to be a confident communicator when dealing with customers, colleagues, contractors and tenants and be able to multi task, problem solve and make decisions with a flexible approach to work.
You should have experience in customer service, retail or something similar. Ideally, you will have previous Duty Manager or supervisor experience within a comparable environment.
Working Patterns
We work a variety of shift patterns to provide management cover across all the shopping centre opening hours. There may also be the requirement to provide out of hours cover should a tenant request it. Plus, the opportunity to work additional hours to provide cover.

Regularly walking through the Centre to help and resolve customer queries and observe and report any concerns.
What we are looking for:
You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently and have some experience from a work environment.
To thrive in the role, you need to have excellent Customer Service skills, a flexible approach to work and be able to communicate effectively.
Working flexibly
We support our staff to optimise their time and balance work with supporting their well-being and other aspects of their lives.
We are looking ideally for three people, one full time and two working part-time between 15-25 hours per week. We have a variety of shift patterns available and are open to set or flexible hours. Ideally your working pattern would cover either the beginning or the end of the day with weekend working included. There may also be the requirement to provide out of hours cover should a tenant request it. Plus, the option of additional hours to provide cover.
